Pre-Interview Questions

After speaking with Denis for some time, I've decided that the conversation surrounding where he is "headed" after school (and all of the ideas he's formulated throughout his life so far) have set up an interesting platform for content.  I am planning on interviewing him about his upbringing in Brooklyn, his interest in media (specifically his interest in video games), and his outlook on life.  More specifically, after our initial conversation, I think there is a lot to be explored by asking him about his mother and brother (his relationship with them) and how they've been integral in shaping his values and the path he wants to head on.

1.  Could you tell me a little about your parents and why you hated politics?  Could you expand on that?

2.  Could you talk a little about how the Russian language has been a part of your family?

3.  Could you tell me about how Boris (your brother) went on a certain path?

4.  Do you feel that your mom holds you to similar standards as your brother?  And why/how has that contributed to your life decisions?

5.  You said to me that your relationship with your brother has been remarkably influential in your life...  How would say that relationship has been influential?

6.  Do you think one ought to pursue what they're passionate about?  Why or why not?
